TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This puppy is guaranteed to be a purebred Labrador Retriever. AKC registration papers will be provided to the purchaser upon full payment being received. This puppy is being purchased as a companion/pet and is being sold on an AKC Limited Registration. As no such litters produced by this dog are eligible for AKC registration.
This Health Guarantee is non-transferable and void if the dog is overweight or has been bred.
A record of vaccinations and dewormings is provided to the purchaser. The puppy has been examined by a veterinarian and found to be in good health at the time of sale. The purchaser of this puppy has a health guarantee extending to 5 days in which to have the puppy checked by a licensed veterinarian. If the veterinarian finds a serious health problem with the puppy, it is to be IMMEDIATELY returned to Mark and Tina Booker along with a written statement from the examining veterinarian explaining the problem. At that time a full refund will be returned to the purchaser or the option of a replacement puppy of equal value. No cash refund will be returned after 5 days. This guarantee will be null and void if the puppy is not examined by a veterinarian within the first 5 days of purchaser receiving the puppy. If the puppy has sustained health problems resulting from injury, mistreatment or neglect after leaving the Booker’s, we will not assume responsibility for it and no refund will be forthcoming.
If this puppy displays any indication of poor health, you must notify me by the 5th day to make a claim for a replacement puppy. If your puppy is very sick or has a congenital defect found by your vet, you will return him/her to the Booker’s (at purchaser’s expense) with the registration papers and you must obtain a written statement from your vet on office stationary, signed by him/her for our records stating the health risk. It must include a description of the symptoms supporting his/her opinion to validate this guarantee. Any vet bills incurred to diagnose or repair a problem will be the responsibility of the purchaser unless arrangements have been made or approved prior to treatment. Failure to do this will cause this contract to be null and void. We reserve the right to confirm the problem(s) with our own veterinarian.
Also, this guarantee shall become null and void if the puppy is given any vaccinations within 10 days of purchase, unless I state otherwise that they need vaccinations before the 10 day period is up. We do not guarantee against Parvo, Corona, Coccidiosis or Giardia after 72 hours of purchase.
This puppy is guaranteed to be free of Genetic Defects that make the puppy not suitable for the purpose of a ‘family pet’ until the puppy reaches one year of age. If this puppy dies or requires euthanasia within the first year from a life threatening inherited genetic defect diagnosed by a veterinarian, it will be replaced free of charge with a puppy of equal value from the next available litter. Replacement option is only valid when health problems are attributed to a hereditary problem and not due to accident or contagious and/or other illness. Purchaser understands that the following slight genetic defects are not considered serious or life threatening and therefore is not covered: umbilical hernia, un-descended testicle, underbite or overbite.
The purchaser agrees to maintain this dog in a safe and healthy environment. When the dog is outside, it will be provided housing of adequate size, shade and fresh water. It is recommended the puppy not be permitted to play unsupervised with older dogs during the vulnerable months of structural development, first 12 months. If the purchaser is no longer able to care for this animal, they agree to contact Mark and Tina Booker. We will gladly help find a new home for this puppy. Under no circumstances will this dog be surrendered to an animal shelter or rescue without contacting us first.
